For the past 5 years Pastor Mario, DeAnza and their 4 children have been serving in San Jose, Costa Rica. When they first decided to move to Costa Rica they took a big step of faith. They moved their entire family into a country where neither of them spoke the language or had ever lived before. Within months their spanish accelerated and the entire family was fluent. They have since not only been able to start a church but they have seen hundreds of people saved in San Jose. 

The church has grown rapidly and every week people who are lost, desperate, and seeking hope find Jesus! 

Priscila (Costa Rica's church mouse)

This is Prisila, she is definitely what you would call a church mouse. Our family along with the members of the church are really the only people she can consider family. For the most part, she takes care of herself and is always at the church. Both of her parents are alcoholics. Pricila has a genuine relationship with God and knows what true peace is. She knows she doesn't have to fill a void because God is all she needs!

This is what they call a "rancho" Many of the people in our church live in homes like these.
