Every year, for thirteen years now, Breakaway has sponsored a thanksgiving dinner the Friday before Thanksgiving Day. We reach out to the homeless, single moms, military families (whose spouses are both deployed and stationed in Colorado Springs), those who are in COMCOR and C.A.E., and anyone who is struggling in this economy that would not normally have a quality Thanksgiving dinner.
Many times these people cannot go home and have a thanksgiving dinner with their families so we provide thanksgiving for them. We also reach out to halfway houses, rehab centers, the local shelter and the less fortunate under bridges. We run between 13-15 fifteen passenger vans, many of these rented.
Not only do we provide a delicious meal to everyone in attendance but we also have live entertainment. This includes exciting music bands, drama, the Victory World Outreach choir, and much more! This exciting event has had as many as 1,200 people in attendance. In 2011 we are expecting over 2000 people to join us for this life changing night!
To show our love to the community and draw in more visitors we are doing a coat, hat, and glove drive. With hundreds of coats coming in to shelter those in Colorado Springs. We encourage our community to get involved by donating any winter apparel for men, women, and children.
This event is only possible because of the investment from many small businesses, corporations, and caring individuals that want to make a difference. If you would like to make a donation for this year's Thanksgiving Dinner you can use the giving form in the right column or call the church (information below).

God Bless You!
